Venue notes: Nighttown, Rotterdam NLNighttown (sparse Wiki page here) was a multi-room nightclub, café, and performance venue that operated at West Kruiskade 26, near the city center, from 1988 to 2006, when it filed for bankruptcy. Prior to 1988, it was called Arena. The downstairs performance space, aptly called the Basement, was a popular choice for touring underground/"alternative" bands during the club's heyday in the 1990s. The club reopened in 2008 under new ownership and with a new name, Watt, which seems to have survived until 2010. As of 2019, the building was occupied by an Asian supermarket.
