Duffy's, which once occupied the southeast corner of 26th & 26th in
Minneapolis. The outdoor courtyard can be perceived through the murk in the
middle set of images. The building was repainted and reincarnated as Norma
Jean's in the early 80s and eventually demolished in the late 80s or early 90s.
The bottom four photos show comparisons of the site at various times. The
upper pair compare the vintage shot with a 2009 Google streetview image from
roughly the same perspective (the New French Bakery occupies the same street
address as the old Mr. Nibs). The lower pair show the site from a vantage
point diagonally across the street from the corner on which Duffy's stood, and
compare the faceless, slablike new building before and after the 2011
construction of its faceless, slablike new addition.
