International I was located on Anson Road, near the corner of Dickenson
Road. It was a rock venue in the 80s until the owners relocated. Currently
(2017) a food store, Venus Supermarket, specializing in Turkish foods.
(Note: International II, not pictured and now demolished, was a somewhat
larger venue located at 210 Plymouth Grove, Longsight.) Hüsker
Dü played at International I on 21 Mar 1986 and 20 Jun 1987.
They never played at International II.
