Venue notes: The Point, Atlanta

Defunct bar and music venue in Little Five Points. The building still stands as of 2013 as a Clothing Warehouse store at 420 Moreland Ave NE. During its club days, the entrance was around the corner on Seminole. James Barber writes in May 2013: "The guys who owned the place also owned the Cotton Club at 10th and Peachtree. After an incident with a GA Tech fraternity hazing that included a stop at the Cotton Club and ending with a drowning in Piedmont Park, Atlanta City officials went after the owners and the Point liquor license was collateral damage. The owners eventually resurfaced with Smith's Olde Bar. The room was like a bigger Drunken Unicorn or a smaller version of the EARL. Amazing sound, great vibe." He elaborates on the address and location: "The thing with the address might be confusing because the entrance to the club was upstairs on Seminole Ave. There was a bar there and you went downstairs for the live music."

Bob Mould played a solo acoustic show here on 16 Mar 1991. Grant Hart/Nova Mob played here on 21 May 1992.
