Venue notes: Phideaux, Houston

Defunct (and by all indications short-lived) mid-80s punk venue. Chuck Pool recalls attending the 03 May 1986 Hüsker Dü show there and writes (Jan 2002): "The place did not yet have a liquor license and [the Hüsker gig] was billed as a keg party thing, where you paid your bucks at the door and got a cup to drain from the kegs. Local group the Bone Daddies opened. Place also had no bathrooms, so people went next door to pee at the IHOP. All the little punk and punkette posers in uniform scared the people eating there and the police were called. Hüskers were pulled off the stage after less than an hour."
