Venue notes: Metro, New Haven CTSmall all-ages BYOB club that focused on booking punk acts. It was located at 379 Whalley Ave, in the building that had for many years been the Whalley Theater, a neighborhood movie house. Metro was a short-lived venue, apparently in operation only during 1985: it's first mentioned in Jim Zebora's 08 Feb 1985 "Club Scene" column in the Meriden (CT) Record-Journal, where it's described as "the area's newest no booze/all ages club." The last booking listed in Zebora's archived columns is Myth on 14 Jun 1985, and his December 1985 retrospective column notes that Metro had not survived the year.Hüsker Dü played Metro on 06 May 1985.
