Venue notes: Club Lingerie, Los Angeles CA

Music club located at 6507 Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles that catered to several different music styles during its lifespan and was famous for hosting mostly punk—and later hip-hop—acts in the 1980s. According to this CelebrityAccess article, it was originally known as "Soul'd Out" in the 1970s, before being bought by Elmer Valentine (also an owner of the Whisky), who changed the name to Club Lingerie. During its 80s heyday, it was owned by Kurt Fisher (who died in 2020) and booked by Brendan Mullen. Fisher sold the club at the end of April, 1995, after which it underwent several renames and reinventions. As of 2020, the space was occupied by the Warwick restaurant and nightclub, but the Warwick's Instagram account has been silent since early in the coronavirus pandemic, and this Google streetview capture from Dec 2020 does not look very inviting.
