According to this article, the 900-capacity club opened in the 1980s as the Jailhouse and by the 90s had become the city's pre-emininent supporter of indie rock and techno music. The building was sold to developers in 2004, but the club remained open for two more years, hosting its final performance in June 2006. The building was still standing in November 2016, at which time it appeared from the Google streetview capture that the upstairs floors were at least partially occupied by offices while the ground floor was undergoing renovations.
